Here is the current running schedule (5k training program) I am following:
My favorite iPhone exercise & health related apps are:
- RunKeeper (my profile) – I use it to keep track of my runs. It maps out the location & even included elevation data. In the future if I get a heart rate monitor I can sync it to include that in the data also. The best part is I can use the same app for my mountain bike rides too!!
- Lose It! - I just started using this (January 2012) to track my daily calorie intake. It lets you scan barcodes to track foods or you can just manually enter them. You can even include physical activities to see how many calories you burn versus how many you are eating.
- The North Face Trailhead – I have not used this a whole lot, but the few times I have I really liked it. It is great for finding new routes (we used it for mountain biking). Maybe as I start ramping up my running miles I can use this to find some better routes near my neighborhood.
In addition to my iPhone, I could not run/exercise without:
